Spectrum is making a significant effort to bring internet and television coverage to rural America's disadvantaged regions.
The company's multi-year Rural Construction Initiative, a significant $9 billion investment, intends to connect about 1.75 million new homes and small businesses to high-speed internet, mobile, TV, and phone services.
One of these locations is Steele County, Minnesota, where Spectrum serves 50 homes and small businesses.
Spectrum provides high-speed Internet & TV to rural America
"Spectrum is bringing gigabit broadband to unserved communities in Minnesota and across America," said Matt Brown, Spectrum's Senior Director of Construction, who is overseeing the Minnesota buildout. "Our investment is making it possible to deliver the high-value broadband, mobile, TV, and voice services now available in Steele County."
This effort, which is largely funded by more than $2 billion in government grants, is delivering crucial access to communities previously disregarded by traditional broadband providers.
The expansion focuses on providing dependable and cheap services to rural areas, bridging the digital gap, and opening up new opportunities for citizens and companies.
