Snapchat's Camera Will Get a Shortcut on the iPhone Lock Screen
Users of iPhone iOS 18 and later may now use the Snapchat camera as a lock screen shortcut instead of the flashlight or native camera. After taking a picture or recording a video with the shortcut, users must unlock their phones before sharing.
According to Snapchat, over 55,000 Snaps are made every second on average, and this connection will make it easier to record a moment as it happens.
Snapchat adds a camera shortcut to the iPhone lock screen
To set up the integration, press and hold your iPhone's lock screen, then pick "Customize" and then "Lock Screen."
From there, hit the controls at the bottom of your screen to remove the default options, then tap the "plus" option to pick the Snapchat Camera.
Also, Snapchat revealed that users can set the iPhone 16's Camera Control button to launch Snapchat and capture moments instantly.
The enhancements unveiled today are Snapchat's most recent usage of new iPhone features.
For example, with iOS 16, the company introduced configurable lock screen and home screen widgets, as well as the ability to modify the Action button to launch the Snapchat app on the iPhone 15 quickly.
