Post Headlines in Articles Will Return in X, According to Musk
Early in October, Musk declared that it would "greatly improve the esthetics" if headlines beneath posts containing links on X were removed. "
In an upcoming release, X will overlay the title in the upper portion of the image of a URL card," stated the tech entrepreneur recently.
In a follow-up, he mentioned that the headlines will show up above an article's image rather than underneath it: "Every pixel matters," Musk said.
X will bring back article headlines in posts
Many users now share articles on X differently as a result of Musk's decision to remove article titles, as such posts have lacked context unless the headline is included in the post's text (or the headline is included in the picture shared with the article).
Musk, who oversees all X decisions and is in charge of product and engineering, has previously stated that he doesn't like links sent to X since they lead users to stop using the site.
He further said that links are given less priority by the platform's content-ranking algorithm.
