Many Android Phones Report Crashes with the Assistant At a Glance Widget
Earlier in November, a number of Android users encountered error messages that seemed to be directed at developers while attempting to install the Assistant At a Glance widget on their home screen.
It appears that there is a solution that allows the widget to load on a device that was having issues, but it still happened.

"Same here," reads a typical Reddit post (via AndroidCentral).
The warning "at a glance failed to load" or something similar first appeared on my screen.
I tried restarting the phone, deleting the widget, and trying to install it again, but it constantly crashes. I also force-closed the Google app and deleted the cache.
It's not helping at all. Pixel 6." The author of that was Reddit user awfulWinner.
These messages include a plethora of Android smartphones, including the Pixel 8 Pro, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S23 Ultra, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 11, and Galaxy A54, to mention a few.
Stated differently, a large number of Android users—the majority of whom are running Android 12 to Android 14—are impacted by this problem.
