Apple Confirms the Extended Longevity of the iPhone 15 Series Batteries

Apple has acknowledged that there are noticeable gains in terms of battery life with the iPhone 15 series. 

While previous versions were rated at 500 charges for the same capacity, all four iPhone 15 models may keep up to 80% of their original capacity after 1,000 charges under perfect conditions. 

Apple also disclosed the improved figures for battery longevity on a dedicated iPhone battery support page.

Additionally, Apple confirmed to 9to5 Mac that it employed a particular charging test that included 1,000 cycles of charging and draining the battery under predetermined circumstances to replicate real-world usage situations.

"Continuous updates to battery components and power management systems over the years" are credited with the advancement, and Cupertino is also looking at previous iPhone models to determine how their batteries stack up.
