A user named Majin Bu has revealed the next iPhone's design on the social media platform X.

Bu posted an image of what looks to be the primary camera chassis—which sports a vertical camera layout—for the entry-level iPhone 16.

As others pointed out in their replies to Bu's post, the part image was displayed upside down, although this has no bearing on the component's validity.

According to MacRumors, the item featured in Bu’s post is the main camera chassis for the I-34 camera project.

It will be used in the base model iPhone 16, which is scheduled for release later this year.

This most recent component leak is consistent with other reports on Apple's rumored new vertical camera arrangement for the iPhone 16.

In actuality, Apple has chosen to arrange the cameras vertically rather than diagonally as is the case with the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus base models.

Apple could add Spatial Video recording to the entry-level iPhone 16 model by utilizing a vertical camera arrangement, therefore making the functionality available to all iPhone 16 models.

The iPhone 16 is anticipated to sport a vertical camera layout in addition to the Action button, which is a carryover from the iPhone 15 Pro, and a second Capture button with force-sensor technology on the right side of the smartphone.
