Apple’s Next Major iPhone Upgrade May Include iPhone 17 Air
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple's next big iPhone upgrade will feature a new model named the iPhone 17 Air.
Given Apple's success with the Air moniker for thinner MacBooks and iPads, this is a natural way to expand the lineup, and it may be more tempting than the iPhone Plus or Mini.

Also, Gurman claims that the iPhone 17 Air will have Apple's first in-house modem, which is expected to appear with the next iPhone SE in the spring.
The phone is also said to be Apple's thinnest smartphone yet, measuring two millimeters thinner than existing iPhones.
As a result, it would be a step closer to the foldable iPhone and iPad, which the company is said to be working on for 2026 or later.
Furthermore, Gurman discusses additional Apple devices he expects to be launched in 2025, such as a smart home hub. Not on the list is a new version of the company's mixed reality headset, the Vision Pro.
