Nintendo Places in "Top 10" of Metacritic's 14th Annual Game Publisher Rankings

Nintendo came in sixth position out of 46 publishers on Metacritic's 14th Annual Game Publisher Rankings, mostly due to the positive reviews received by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and a few other games. 

It released 22 titles with an average Metascore of 79.5 in 2023, including four excellent games overall. It was ranked 12th last year.

This is what Metacritic had to say about the most recent result:

"Nintendo released more games this year than any other publisher, ranking once more in our top 10. However, Nintendo was kept from placing any lower by its comparatively low 73% success rate, which was the lowest among all publishers cracking our top 10, even though four of those titles scored 90 or higher—easily the highest among all publishers this year."
