New iPhone software, Journal, encourages journaling, which has been demonstrated to enhance wellness, as a way for users to reflect and practice appreciation.

Users can record and write about both ordinary and noteworthy events in their lives using Journal.

To build rich memories, they may also incorporate images, videos, audio files, places, and more.

Customizable notifications encourage users to write more frequently, while on-device machine learning offers discreet, tailored suggestions to stimulate diary entries.

Journaling apps from third parties may now propose occasions for users to write about by utilizing the new Journaling Suggestions API.

You may access Journal and the Journaling Suggestions API with the introduction of iOS 17.2.

Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing at Apple, Bob Borchers, stated, "We are delighted to bring the advantages of journaling to more people."

“By carefully selecting content that is uniquely distinctive to each user, Journal makes it simple to cultivate appreciation and retain meaningful memories straight from their iPhone.

Additionally, we're enabling other journaling applications to provide the same customized recommendations while upholding the strictest privacy standards,” he stated.
