Another Indication that Apple AI Will Take Over iOS 18 and iPhone 16

Numerous AI features are reportedly being added by Apple to iOS 18 and the next iPhone 16 series. 

Although earlier reports hinted at some of the features we should anticipate, TrendForce is now providing more evidence that Cupertino has big AI ambitions for 2024.

The research firm discusses this year's expansion of AI servers in its most recent note. 

Although the market is expected to grow by 2.05% YoY to 13.654 million units, the report also reveals that Supermicro, one of these companies that makes AI servers, intends to "aggressively expand its efforts to secure AI orders from clients, including Apple and Meta."

Apple AI will take over iOS 18 and iPhone 16

Given that Apple CEO Tim Cook has hinted at AI features that will be released soon, it is reasonable to believe that Apple will keep putting further effort into this matter by growing the number of AI servers. 

Analyst Jeff Pu proposed last year that Apple created hundreds of AI servers in 2023 and expected to build more in 2024. Additionally, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that Apple will spend around $4.75 billion on AI servers this year.

Having said that, it won't be long till Apple unveils iOS 18's most recent AI capabilities during the WWDC 2024 keynote.
