All of Google's CES news was recently released, and there are a ton of new features for Android Auto and cars with Google Built-In infotainment systems to sort through.

When it comes to Google Maps integration, electric cars will have considerably greater support, beginning with Android Auto.

Google Maps will determine your current battery level, forecast the amount of power at your destination, recommend charging stations for the most economical route, and even estimate the duration of each charge stop based on your car.

Route planning should be considerably more efficient because of this degree of integration, something we haven't seen from utilizing Android Auto in an EV before.

Naturally, the catch here is that in order for Google to obtain the type of car data needed to ensure the seamless operation of an all-encompassing EV navigation system, the company will need to collaborate with the manufacturers.

According to Google, the tool will be available for the Ford Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning "in the coming months, with others to follow."

Google reports that as of right now, you will be able to use the Google Maps app to send a planned journey from your phone to your vehicle.

This is in regard to Google Built-In news.
